A celebration of the season in Reynoldsville. A commentary by Peggy Zortman.

A busy day in Reynoldsville as part of the Reynoldsville Community Association’s celebration of the Christmas season.

Members of the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire department were collecting money in boots to benefit MAKE A WISH. Who could resist dropping a donation into a Fireman’s Boot, especially when Dominic (a new recruit) so proudly and bravely stood there in the middle of the busy highway in the cold to collect money that will help a worthy cause. Even a little dog named Chase took money to the boot.

Roses on Main played host to Rita Barr’s goodies where Peggy Deible and her helpers offered a mouthwatering mixture of homemade cookies and candy for sale.

Rosey Rae claimed Missus Santa’s knee while more kids waited patiently to be next to tell Santa and Missus Santa what they wished to find under their Christmas Tree. I wonder, were the kids or the parents more excited?

Christmas is getting close. I hope you were able to enjoy some of the downtown excitement and may the Christmas Spirit be with one and all throughout the ages. (Photos by Peggy Zortman.)
