Charge filed against a Reynoldsville woman

State Police have filed a charge of filing a false report to law enforcement against a Jefferson County woman in connection with an incident that took place on November 2.

Police say they were called to a residence along Cricket Road in Winslow Township for a report of a mental health incident. When the officer arrived on scene, he discovered there was no mental health incident and that the accused, 47-year-old Brenda Saunders of Reynoldsville, was allegedly under the influence of numerous illicit drugs including methamphetamine and heroin.

Saunders was taken into custody and then transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for a health assessment.

The charge of filing a false report with law enforcement was filed with District Magistrate David Inzana’s office in Reynoldsville.
