Virtual graduation ceremonies for Jeff Tech tomorrow night; DAHS postpones until Saturday

This is the weekend for graduations in our area.

Jeff Tech plans a virtual graduation beginning at 7 p.m. on its YouTube page. A link to that site can be found on the Jeff Tech main page.

Principal Melissa Mowrey told the Jeff Tech Operating Committee at its regular meeting on May 28 that an in-person ceremony will be held at a later date once a large enough venue can be located.

Jeff Tech students will be able to pick up their diplomas at the school on Wednesday, June 3.

The DuBois Area High School planned to hold ceremonies on May 29, but late word today indicated that the celebration will be held on Saturday due to expected inclement weather.

A Parade of Graduates will begin at 7 p.m. at the high school parking lot and wind its way through DuBois and Sandy Township before ending at the middle school. The graduate procession into Mansell Stadium will begin at 8:15 p.m.

Students who do not participate in the ceremony can begin picking up their diplomas at the high school beginning Monday, June 1, during regular business hours.
