Winslow Township Supervisors meet

The Winslow Township Supervisors met in regular session on July 11. Board Chairman Robert Krajewski was absent so Vice Chairman Rick August chaired the meeting with Supervisor Mike Mowrey in attendance.

When asked about road projects in the township, August said that even though $80,000 was budgeted, the increase in costs due to inflation has forced the township to patch in places where it’s most needed.

“Just the bad spots,” he said.

Residents may have noticed white lines with arrows pointing up or down on roads in their area. August said the patching will take place between those arrows.

No word yet on when work on the addition to the township building will begin, The supervisors decided to go ahead with a roof replacement on the building housing the township’s supply of stone at an estimated cost of $5800.

A minor subdivision was approved along Beech Street Extension for Supervisor August so he could include his water well on his property.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for August 8 at 6 pm at the township building.
