Fire near Brockway destroys building; Reynoldsville firefighters assist

A fire broke out earlier today (July 15) at Watt Logging (behind Fremer Lumber) in Snyder Township near Brockway. Reports from the scene indicated the metal building housing a saw and a debarker was destroyed, but the fire was contained there.

There were no injuries.

The cost of the damage has not yet been determined. A State Police Fire Marshall has been called in to assist in finding the cause.

Brockway units were assisted at the scene by units from DuBois, Sandy Township, Horton Township, Pine Creek Township, Brookville, Falls Creek, Warsaw Township, and Reynoldsville.
