Youth baseball sign-ups close soon

Reynoldsville does not have a youth baseball league at this time, so there are two ways parent can sign up their children for leagues.

DuBois Little League now has a web site where parents can sign up their kids on line. The deadline is February 16. To visit the site, click here. Walk-in registration will be held February 10 at the DuBois Area High School from 12-3 p.m. The costs posted on the web site are as follows:

Single player + planning on fundraising $55
Family + planning on fundraising $75
Single player + opt out of fundraiser charge $100
Family + opt out of fundraiser charge $165
**If you are planning to register online, you will need a digital copy of your child’s birth certificate to upload during registration.**
**If registering in person, a birth certificate is required, even if the player has played for the league in previous years.**

Sykesville Youth League Baseball sign ups are scheduled for February 10 from 2-4 p.m. at the back room of the Sykesville Eagles. This is for boys and girls ages 4 to 8 (minor league) and ages 9-12 (major league). The registration cost is $40.00 per child or $60.00 per family with a refundable $10.00 for a concession fee. Fees include a short, hat, and end of season banquet.

The participating teams in this league include Sykesville, Big Run, Troutville, Luthersburg and Mahaffey.
