Jefferson County’s population continues to decline

Jefferson County continues to show a population loss according to a report filed this week by the U.S. Census Bureau.

The population estimates show a decrease from 43, 828 in 2017 to 43,641 in 2018 (as of July 1, 2018).

Since 2010, the population in Jefferson County has dropped by 1,521.

According to the Allentown Morning Call, Cameron and Potter counties showed the steepest declines.
