Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor and Industry W. Gerard Oleksiak visited the DuBois-Jefferson County Vocational-Technical School (Jeff Tech) on May 16 as part of an entourage of state and county officials. The visit was to highlight Governor Tom Wolfe’s education initiatives.
Secretary Oleksiak toured several shops and spoke with high school and adult students about their experiences at Jeff Tech.
“Secretary Oleksiak was very impressed with our facility and programs,” said school director Dr. Barry Fillman.
Jeff Tech recently celebrated its 50-year anniversary of provided vocational and technical training to secondary and adult students.
