Winslow Township Supervisors award bids
The Winslow Township Supervisors met in regular session on May 13 with Supervisor Ed Mohney absent. Robert Krajewski and Marty Strouse took care of business.
In the public comment section, former employee Shawn Rankus asked once again for charts, reports, and other items related to the township’s water system. He had asked for the same items at the March regular meeting.
“The public needs to know if they’re not doing it correctly,” Rankus said in response to the question as to why he was seeking the documents.
Krajewski directed him to submit his request in writing to the township solicitors, Ferraro, Kruk and Ferraro.
The supervisors opened oil and stone bids. In all, they received four bids for road oil and three for stone.
The oil bids were awarded to two firms, Suit-Kote of Pleasantville and Midland of Bloomsburg. The stone bid went to Beechwoods of DuBois.
Some discussion was given to people who have not hooked up to the township sewer and/or water system as well as a letter from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regarding work along State Route 950.
