Reynoldsville library news by Karl Rebon

Here are a few questions to contemplate as you read this. First, who doesn’t like to eat? Am I right? Let’s say a sandwich and some soup perhaps? Or how about some delicious homemade baked goods? I don’t know about you, but I could go for some of that right now as this is being written. To top those things off, how about playing a round of the classic board game Scrabble? If you said yes to any of these, then the next thing you should do is schedule some time to stop by the library on a Friday this February.

The annual Fun Fridays in February will happen every Friday in February starting at 11 a.m. Patrons and library supporters will bring in homemade baked goods to be sold during the day. A sandwich and soup selection will also be available. A Scrabble game will be available to be played while you eat or you can just come in from the cold and hang out. Also, businesses in the downtown, if they would like, can call and order a sandwich or some soup, and someone will deliver them to you. Just call the library at 814.653.9471.

This month’s reading suggestions include:
Ohio by Stephen Markley: what happens when four former classmates come back home with different missions but are haunted by their jagged pasts?
An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green: what happens when you become an overnight celebrity and realizing that you are a party of something much bigger that you anticipated?
Kiss Collector by Wendy Higgins: as the title says, a girl gets frustrated with relationships, and frustrated with her home life, so she decides to do something radical…collect kisses.

New Movies to check out:
Stranger Things seasons 1 & 2
Cedar Cove seasons 1, 2, & 3
Nerve
A Cure for Wellness
Hereditary

All these things mentioned and more are available at the library. Don’t forget to keep your eyes open for our Spring Story Hour that will be starting in March. Details are coming soon.

This February, why don’t we try to set aside some time for a few things? First, let’s set aside some time aside for ourselves. We all need to take some time and just take care of our thoughts, how we are feeling, and remember to breathe. Second, let’s take some time to reach out to our family and friends. They are some of the most important people in our lives. Take time to say I love you and I appreciate you to them because we never know when they won’t be here. Don’t ever take those who are close to you for granted. Third, take some time to visit your library. We love seeing you come in. We adore your company and patronage. February is a good time to find a book to snuggle up to. Also, February is a good time to have some fun, say on Fridays? Book some time at the library. We will be happy to see you.
