Winslow Township Supervisors hold regular meeting

The Winslow Township Supervisors met in regular session on November 8 and went quickly through a short agenda.

The supervisors approved a land transfer from a private owner to the Greek Catholic Church Cemetery located just outside of Sykesville. The supervisors are also moving ahead with a planned addition to the maintenance building for an office. The work will be funded with Covid relief monies. The township is also pursuing the purchase of a new backhoe and trading in the old one.

End-of the-year meetings dates were set. The budget meeting will be held November 22 at 6 p.m. at the township building. The final meeting of the year will be held December 30 at 6 p.m. to finalize the 2022 budget. The reorganization meeting will be held January 3 at 6 p.m. with recently-elected Mike Mowrey coming on board and Ed Mohney leaving after serving two terms.
